What to expect:

Swift is hiring a Key Account Manager for the NAM (North America) Business Development team. This role will sit within New York City and provide a hybrid work environment. An integral part of this effort is to find someone who has the passion and desire to drive deep engagement with our community, and you'll cover some of Swift's largest and most strategic clients in Canada. This position reports to the Head of Key Clients and will work closely with the Head of Canada. The individual will be focused on building client relationships, driving a vision around strategic initiatives, and driving adoption throughout the portfolio.

In this role you will:

  • Be your client's trusted advisor on all core Swift topics. Own the end-to-end relationship from critical initiatives, to day-to-day opportunities/projects, to escalations. Liaise with other divisions, departments, team managers and members to provide a coordinated service and integrated solution to assigned customers.

  • Establish a disciplined and well-organized approach to manage your portfolio. Maintain Salesforce, develop account plans, build out stakeholder maps to ensure deep and targeted engagements that support your customer's strategic objectives.

  • Represent Swift and promote products and services to grow our business by participating in regional conferences, forums and meetings (may require occasional travel to Canada).

  • Identify customer needs and market opportunities and achieve business growth by building and maintaining long term customer relationships with primarily large accounts and/or market infrastructures.

  • Be the voice of your clients. Share market intelligence, customer feedback, product issues and other relevant information with internal partners. Drive change!

  • Involved in core topics like - ISO 20022, gpi, client connectivity (APIs, Cloud applications, ERPs, etc.), correspondent banking, digital assets, CBDCs, etc.

  • Communicates effectively across a wide range of practical or theoretical issues; modifies communication style to optimize understanding by others; clarifies applicable goals, objectives, and business situations; acknowledges and respects other views.

  • Working knowledge of Canadian financial institutions.

Requirements

  • University degree

  • At least 7 years' experience in the payments and securities ecosystem, of which 2 years in relationship management or consulting

  • Prior knowledge of Swift or equivalent transaction technology/software companies

  • Prior knowledge of correspondent banking

  • Preferred: knowledge of the Canadian banking system and payments landscape

The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in New York is $137,130 to $254,670 USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Our compensation packages include a competitive base salary and bonus opportunity for all employees contingent on personal and company performance.
