Come be part of a team that is devoted to "Doing the Most Good." The Salvation Army corps located in Springfield, Missouri, is looking for a Christmas season Kettle Coordinator. This is a nonexempt, as needed up to 40 hours/week, Seasonal/Temporary position, that is ineligible for benefits.
We are looking for someone to start immediately and begin working under 20 hours per week, then starting 10/05/2020 the hours will increase to 40 hours per week and the scheduled end date for the position is 12/24/2020. The pay is $12.00 per hour. The Kettle Coordinator position exists to further the mission of The Salvation Army by managing the day to day operations of the Bell Ringing Campaign.
This position is responsible for the Christmas Kettle program, including scheduling, placement, monitoring of kettle workers, delivery, returning, and securing of Christmas kettles. This effort will require close working relationship with other corps staff. Position is expected to comply with and meet The Salvation Army, Federal, State and Local policies and standards.
Responsibilities Essential Job Duties 1. Recruit, screens, prepare hire packet, conduct bell ringer orientations and supervise bell ringers. 2. Coordinate delivery of kettle equipment to and from kettle sites. 3.
Ensure that all kettle locations are being manned. Coordinate all paid workers. Schedule and notify kettle workers.
Work directly with Volunteer Coordinator on scheduling. 4. Learn and use Register to Ring to schedule kettle workers. 5. Check that all bell ringers are clean and presentable. 6.
Report any scheduled kettle absences/unattended to the Operations Director. 7. Keep accurate time sheets on all paid kettle workers. Report time worked to designated individual for payroll. 8.
Conduct periodical site checks throughout the day to ensure that bell ringers are working. 9. Coordinate with Operations Director on all disciplinary problems. 10. Assist with daily counting of monies as needed. 11.
Secure monies at all times. 12. Transport monies to bank for deposit as needed. 13. Maintain confidentiality and comply with Safe From Harm guidelines. 14.
