Summary of Position

Kimberly-Clark has several internship positions opening for the summer of 2019. Located in Georgia, these roles are unique as they are designed to provide a combination of IT and business experiences. Business to Business (B2B) focus areas include Sales, Marketing, or Supply Chain.

Dependent on the specific role, Information Technology Interns may gain exposure to:

  • How IT works with the business to translate opportunities into technology solutions

  • How data plays a key role across the business

  • Customer Experience technologies

  • Business Requirement Gathering

  • Agile Product Delivery, Product Management Methodology

Qualifications

  • College student pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in an Information Technology related field

  • Technical Aptitude with knowledge of programming fundamentals

VIEW JOBS 10/16/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-14T00:00 KCP Global Environmental & Energy Technical Leader Job Description Global Environmental & Energy Leader Roswell, GA Position Purpose: To provide global leadership, technical direction and counsel in support of K-C's environmental control, compliance and sustainability initiatives. A focus on environmental management & energy conservation will contribute to the overall business strategy, reduce environmental risks and mitigate adverse environmental impacts associated with supply chain operations. SCOPE and dimensions This role will report to the Global Engineering director within the KC Professional Supply Chain organization. The role involves supporting the management of environment and energy conservation activities and initiatives across the regions/businesses. The incumbent must provide leadership and support of the Sustainability 2022 deployment within KCP, in alignment with the framework provided by the Global Sustainability team and the needs of the regional businesses and works to ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulatory requirements and standards of performance. This includes deployment of supporting tools, systems, capabilities and technical solutions to improve the KCP's supply chain environmental position and performance. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: * Deploys the K-C EHS Management System framework and performance standards. * Conducts/participates in internal audits/assessments of K-C's EHS Management System requirements and environmental performance standards. Supports development and deployment of corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives. * Establishes regional environmental improvement strategies in-line with shared annual objectives aligned to the Sustainability 2022, global programing with regional needs/expectations with attention towards environmental, energy conservation & alternative energy needs. * Creates and fosters a sustainability-focused culture to ensure operations are meeting/exceeding the defined environmental goals. * Acts as the liaison between assigned KCP Facilities and Global Sustainability/Global Environmental Teams. * Works collaboratively with global and local environmental teams to ensure effective flow to work and to ensure that activities and systems are effective. * Facilitates regional leadership engagement to enable the integration of environmental & energy conservation within the Region/Business Unit by conducting periodic environmental compliance/sustainability progress reviews with key internal stakeholders from the region/business unit and the global teams. * Supports capability-building, provides training and coaches Environmental/EHS Managers, Engineering Managers to ensure effective environmental controls and to enable value creation. * Leads the KCP Control, Predict, Prevent Environmental Loss Team & represents the sector on the Global Control, Predict, Prevent Environmental Loss TeamSupports delivery of required external certifications and standards for the business (e.g. ISO 14001, ecolabels). * Communicates fully with supervisors, subordinates, global teams and others who have need to know. Communicates in a way that is timely, yet prompt; complete, yet concise; candid, yet accurate; and clear, yet responsive. * Represents K-C on Environmental/Sustainability committees internally and externally as appropriate and in alignment with organizational needs. * Taking into account internally- and externally-facing environmental trends, regulations, standards and other considerations, establishes shared objectives and deploys formal strategies for the business unit(s). * Establishes and maintains a work environment based on LEAN principles (including Strategy Deployment, Leader Standard Work, etc.). Makes progress visible, escalates red conditions appropriately. Conducts simple and complex problem-solving. Customers and stakeholders: * Global Sustainability and Environmental teams * Regional/business/facility energy and sustainability personnel * Supply Chain personnel including plant management, environmental and operational leaders * Appropriate Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations Qualifications: This position requires knowledge and ability typically associated with a bachelor's degree in a technical function (engineering, environmental and/or EHS) and has broad expertise in environmental compliance, management systems, energy conservation, alternative energy and sustainability and the associated regulatory requirements. The required experience is normally found in an individual with 10 years of experience in an environmental role, preferably in support of a manufacturing or Consumer Packaged Goods company. Preferred Experience and Leadership Capabilities * Mill Environmental or EHS Management experience, specifically experience with technical wastewater treatment, air emissions control, energy conservation, alternative energy and waste management; * Demonstrated ability to identify, interpret and apply complex and relevant environmental regulations; * Qualified EHS internal auditor. * Experience in participating to external body committee on Industry practices; * Experience in leading environmental, energy conservation, alternative energy and sustainability in cross-functional project teams. * Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build working relationships across functions, cultures and geographies and to interface with all levels of the organization; strong cross-functional skills and networking ability * Ability to influence without direct line authority. * Ability to drive conclusions and insights from simple and complex problems and issues; Strong numerical and verbal reasoning ability * Proven project management skills * Self-driven and highly motivated, with the ability to demonstrate KC behaviors and culture of accountability; * Excellent presentation, communication skills * Passion for sustainability/sustainable development and a belief in what could be; has a broad appreciation and understanding of corporate social responsibility - environmental issues, social responsibility and business management and the interrelationships of these disciplines.
