Kcbs-Tv Sports Production Intern (Summer 2024, In Person)

Sports Central covers a wide variety of sports in over 6 hours of sports content weekly. From here in Los Angeles to events across the world, we try to put a special focus on our local teams and activities in professional, college, high school & more. To tell these stories, we need a staff with a passion for all sports, especially involving our LA-based teams and schools.

• Assist the sports production staff in putting together all the elements that make up our Sports Central shows & sports segments

• Archive past games, segments & content via editing platform

• Watch, log & create highlights of daily, televised sporting events

Schedule will vary, but interns should expect to work 3 weeknights (generally 4pm-12am), and 1 or 2 days out of the weekend (9am-5pm, 12pm-8pm or 4pm-12am). Some support for weekday events may also be requested.

Eligibility:

• Internships are available to students who will be Juniors or Seniors in the fall of 2024. If you are a graduating Senior, please check our website for full-time job opportunities.

• You must be available to intern full-time (5 days a week/36-40 hours a week) for 10 weeks total starting in June.

• Interns will be required to work fully on-site for the duration of the program.

• Internships are paid at a competitive standard hourly rate (school credit is optional).

Hiring Salary Range: $20.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
