SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS

Responsible for greeting and assisting guests of Kalispel Markets per Kalispel Hospitality. Provide cleaning services daily in a convenient manner to the guests and promote a positive image of the property through professional service and attention to detail.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participates in the delivery and set up of the delivered products to the Kalispel Markets.

  • Assists with maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and high appearance standards for the entire property.

  • Cleans and sanitizes all areas per company policies and County, State, and Federal health requirements: including parking lot, landscaped property, fueling stations, food and beverage stations, retail floor space, restrooms, front and back of the house, doors, public spaces, and all other areas as assigned.

  • Is knowledgeable on fuel dispenser operation and is willing and able to assist customers as needed.

  • Understands and responds to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.

  • Provide exceptional service to customers and employees when performing job duties and conduct oneself in a professional and businesslike manner to reflect the property's high standard of excellence.

  • Greets everyone at all times. Smiles make eye contact and verbally welcomes guests and co-workers from arrival to the property through departure.

  • Stock, maintain and secure all storerooms with all needed supplies.

  • Uses high lift or ladders to reach high areas for cleaning.

  • Pressure washes as needed.

  • Performs special projects as directed.

  • Work in a manner that will cause the least disturbance to the guests, observing guest privacy and requests.

  • Record and report any maintenance problems found.

  • Know and abide by all company policies and procedures, including safety, security, and emergency procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

  • Available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for Business Levels.

  • Report accidents or injuries to management or security immediately.

  • Works as a team with other associates to maintain the best service standards available.

  • Report unsafe conditions and anticipate hazards constantly.

  • Use proper interpersonal skills when dealing with customers and employees.

  • Ensure guest confidentiality standards are followed.

  • Responsible for maintaining a good attendance record.

  • Ensure control/protection of company assets.

  • Ensure compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians - Internal Controls and Kalispel Market Policies and Procedures.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • None

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

EXPERIENCE:

  • Hospitality, janitorial, and or customer service experience is preferred.

SKILLS:

  • Possess a friendly and outgoing personality, enjoys dealing with and providing a positive experience to guests, fellow associates, and visitors.

  • Must be organized, personable, enjoy working with people and have excellent customer service skills.

  • Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft programs and other computer software.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to write simple correspondence.

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with department heads and employees.

  • Ability to multi-task between guest and staff member needs in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to manage time effectively.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Kalispel Tribal Gaming License.

  • Washington State Health Card

  • Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST)

  • Available and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Requires the ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Must be able to stand up to 8 hours per day. Length of time of tasks may vary.

  • Constantly requires the ability to give and receive detailed information through verbal communication.

  • Constantly requires verbally expressing or exchanging ideas of essential instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly.

  • Constantly requires working with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm.

  • Constantly requires repetitive movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

  • Constantly requires walking, standing, or moving about to accomplish tasks.

  • Frequently involves standing and/or sitting for sustained periods.

  • Occasionally requires ascending or descending stairs or ramps using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.

  • Occasionally requires raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally.

  • Occasionally requires stooping, which entails the use of the lower extremities and back muscles. Infrequently requires crouching.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
