The Opportunity
The Academy is seeking a permanent substitute teacher for grades K-8, who is committed to delivering high-quality instruction in all subjects, starting ASAP until the end of the school year. This person will resume all teaching duties to cover for the classroom teacher's absence or provide support around the school as needed. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to equity and social justice, holding a belief that all students deserve a school community where they are welcome, seen, and have access to a strong education. Additionally, applicants must be highly motivated and flexible.

What You Will Bring:
Qualifications
Passing score of California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
Bachelor's Degree
Must pass a criminal background check and TB test clearance
California Teaching Credential or working on teaching credential (preferred)
Note: If you don't have a teaching credential an emergency permit must be obtained after hired

Time Commitment
This position is a Full-time, 11 - month position. Most staff will report early in August (exact calendar TBD).
