K-12 Music or a K-6 or a 7-12 (Vocal/Band) teacher needed for Frankfort School in the Vermillion USD 380 School District.

The Classroom Instructor creates a positive learning environment to facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students. In order to respond to the individual needs and abilities of students, the Classroom Instructor must work closely with other staff, the administration, and other programs of Vermillion Public Schools.

Demonstrated ability to respond to needs creatively and independently
Demonstrated ability to self-start

Demonstrated ability to assess needs and respond with appropriate action to achieve goals & persistent problem solver
Better than average recommendations from student teaching supervisors or other professionals who have observed the personal characteristics, scholastic attainment and classroom performance of the teacher.
Ability to meet District standards for physical and mental health.
Personal Qualities: Appearance, grooming, and personality which establish a desirable example for students.
Kansas Certification of Health on file in the Central Office.
Demonstrated ability to work with fellow educators to develop, implement and evaluate instructional strategies and materials to improve teaching and learning for all students
Knowledge and experience with instruction, methodology and materials related to bilingual education. ESL/ESOL endorsement preferred; not required.
Advanced degree, experience and/or specialized training in curriculum content and instructional pedagogy relative to assignment preferred; not required.
The candidate will have two $3000 supplementals for vocal and band activities outside of the school day if they are doing 7-12.

USD #380 is a School District that has two Pre-K - 12 schools; one school is in Centralia, Kansas and the other is in Frankfort, Kansas. Our total district enrollment ranges between 575 and 625 students. Fifty-two certified teachers, three administrators, a curriculum director, one Parents as Teachers educator, and 30 support personnel are employed by USD #380.
