We have Full-Time positions available. Our JDO's are responsible for transporting and interacting with juveniles in a confined and secure detention facility.

Primary work functions include performing duties related to juvenile daily care within the housing units, facilitating groups, operating Central Control, conducting juvenile assessment, intake and release activities and transporting residents outside the facility.

Qualifications: Graduation from a senior high school or equivalent supplemented by college coursework in criminal justice, human development or a related behavioral science field including some experience working with juveniles in a social service, detention or corrections program or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills.

Must have access to telephone or voice pager to be reached at any time, and have access to reliable 24hr/day transportation. Must be at least 21 years of age and U.

S. Citizen. As per Juvenile Detention Standards, must be free of convictions of crimes punishable by imprisonment in a state or federal penitentiary for a term of one year or more from which a pardon has not been received, cannot be registered as a child or adult abuse or sexual offender with the National Child Abuse and Neglect Registry. Must be fingerprinted for a national and state criminal history checks.

Criminal history and Central Registry for Adult and Child Abuse checks will be made on top candidates. At time of employment, candidate must submit to and successfully pass a substance abuse test and physical examination. THIS POSITION IS SUBJECT TO MANDATORY DRUG TESTING POLICIES AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT.

Necessary Special Requirement: Possession of a valid driver's license.
