THE POSITION: Job Summary:

The Los Angeles County Office of Education and the Juvenile Court Schools seek a well-qualified individual to serve as a dynamic, creative, and team-oriented art teacher. The ideal candidate will work to best prepare at-promise students and provide opportunities for educational success in art instruction. The selected teacher will have skills and experience that engage a diverse student population while embedding many skills beyond the content area.

Students at the Juvenile Court Schools are challenged to think globally and self-reflect while nurturing communication, presentation, and dynamic group skills. Beyond being an expert in a subject matter, the ideal teacher candidate should effectively utilize various teaching and assessment strategies.

Requirements / Qualifications

Must possess a valid Single Subject Education Teaching Credential in Art with a full English Learner Authorization (CLAD or BCLAD, or equivalent). (Please attach credential with detailed authorization and document number from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing website to the application.)
