ManTech is currently seeking experienced professionals for the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center at Hill Air Force Base-Ogden, Utah. This will be supporting the Integration Support Contract (ISC) 2.0. Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon systems.

Junior Weapon System Configuration Management Specialist

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree in STEM-related field + 5-9 years' experience;

  • 9 years' experience equivalent to any combination of education/experience

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. DOD Security Clearance up to the Top Secret level if required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active DOD Secret or (STRONGLY preferred) Active DOD Top Secret Clearance

Your Opportunity: Junior Configuration Management Specialist Responsibilities * Analyzes engineering change proposals, design reviews, audits, scheduling, and budgeting. * Assists in the development and implementation of computer-based configuration, data management systems and electronic data systems, and electronic data support. * Develops and designs configuration/data management documentation. * Monitors contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure standards and requirements are being met. * Identifies requirements and the development and implementation of computer-based configuration, data management systems, and electronic data systems. * Works under general supervision of a Project Manager or Lead, and is able to act in their behalf when authorized. Qualifications: * BA or BS degree in STEM-related field + 5-9 years' experience; * 9 years' experience equivalent to any combination of education/experience * Understanding of Configuration Management requirements as specified in Air Force Regulations and industry standards. * Experience in configuration or systems management. * Knowledge and ability to apply complex management and administrative principles. * Understanding of system equipment specification use and maintenance. * Knowledge of engineering drawings and contractor engineering control/release processes. * Ability to interpret policy and procedures applicable to configuration management functions, and to tailor them to program requirements. * Knowledge of, and skill in, the use of principles of negotiation as required to reconcile diverse opinions that can arise from conflicts in ECP evaluation/contracting, design reviews, and audits. * Knowledge of system program office and contractor operations and familiarity with the various management and technical disciplines involved sufficient to enable understanding of the technical and procurement terminology and procedures. * Ability to obtain a U.S. DOD Security Clearance up to the Top Secret level if required.
