H2 Performance Consulting (H2), a high-growth, technology-enablement firm, is currently seeking a System Administrator to support our government client in the San Diego area. The ideal candidate will have 1 year minimum Windows Server 2008 and/or 2012 experience.

The System Administrator responsibilities include:

  • Deploying vendor software upgrades.

  • Performing server/application tuning, software patches, upgrades and monitoring.

  • Implementing standards and support policy procedures.

  • Perform patch updates and vulnerability remediation

  • Performing STIG reviews and remediation.

  • Performing system restores to validate restore procedures function properly.

  • Providing on-call support; responding to submitted trouble tickets.

  • Corresponding with product vendors and other external technical support teams.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience with Windows Server 2008 and/or Server 2012 in an enterprise hosting environment

  • CompTIA Security + CE Certification

  • Microsoft Technical Associate (MTA) Server 2012 or 2016

  • Position requires Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) compliance IAW DOD Directive 8140 series, DOD 8570.01-M series, SECNAV M-5239 and NETC Instruction 5239 series requirements as an IAM or IAT Level 2.

Knowledge and Skills Desired:

  • 2+ years of experience with Windows Server 2008 and/or Server 2012 in an enterprise hosting environment

  • Recent hands-on experience with the following systems/applications:

  • Procurement Desktop Defense (PD)

  • Remedy Helpdesk

  • Citrix XenApp 7.X

  • Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) Server 2012 or 2016

The ideal candidate will be one with the technical skills, as well as the communication skills, to operate independently and really take ownership of the operation and maintenance of the TORIS enterprise and local development environments. The position will require the candidate to hold an active DoD Secret security clearance as well as IAT II certification.
