Job Summary

The Service & Support Administrative Assistant will work as a member of the IT Service & Support team, which is part of the IT Systems department. This role will assist the IT Support Specialists in a wide range of functions including unboxing, imaging, and deploying hardware and software, to workstation setup, support, and configuration. The Service & Support Administrative Assistant reports to the Senior Manager Service & Support.

Essential Functions

  • Unbox, image, and deploy hardware and software to the business as needed

  • Perform inventory management duties including, but not limited to, asset tagging, inventory checks, and organizing and cleaning storage areas

  • Dispatch incoming tickets to departments and teams

  • Create user accounts for active company directory, email, etc.

  • Answer service and support calls from end users and create and manage service tickets

  • Carryout onboarding tasks including hardware set up and granting of access and permissions to end users

  • Setup, support, and configure workstations throughout headquarters

  • Assist with new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) creation and adhere to existing SOPs

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Basic understanding of personal computers and laptops and the different parts that comprise them

  • Basic to intermediate understanding of the Windows Operating System

  • Technically savvy and resourceful with effective time management skills

  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure

  • Good communication skills

  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude while acting as a team player

  • Self-driven, organized, and proactive

Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 0-1 years of hands on IT-Support experience

Preferred Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience

  • CompTIA A+ certification preferred
  • ITIL certification preferred

Physical Job Requirements

  • This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position standing and seated for half the time

  • The person in this role must be able to position him/herself kneel, crawl, crouch down to fulfill the essential functions of the role less than half the time

  • The person in this position must be able to maneuver (lift, move, carry, slide, etc.) 15 40 lbs.

  • This position operates machinery and/or equipment that requires the constant use of hands/fingers/wrists

  • This position requires the ability to spend all of the time viewing computer monitors
