The Engineering and Analysis Directorate (EASD) of AMERICAN SYSTEMS is looking for a qualified candidate to support the position of Security Support Specialist for NAVAIR's PMA-262 organization. Principal duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Administers and coordinates DoD and other industrial security programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.

  • Provides guidance and support to staff members concerning all security administrative functions such as personnel security, information and system security, COMSEC, physical security to ensure compliance with standards. Reviews and edits Program Protection Plans (PPP), as well as reviews, edits, and coordinates the release of Security Classification Guides (SCG's).

  • Provides support in maintaining a variety of financial or other records, store records both manually and electronically; verify statistical reports for accuracy and completeness; compile information; and handle and adjust complaints.

  • Maintains physical security procedures for visitor control, employee identification and safeguard of facilities, equipment, materials.

  • Reviews security briefings and security education programs.

  • Serve as the Lead Physical Security POC for the UAS Security Team.

  • Manage the distribution of public release tasks and UAS security inbox message.

  • Prepares, sends, and receives visitor certifications.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Must have an active Secret Clearance

  • Four (4) years of general clerical experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Tools OR two (2) years of government or military experience in clerical functions

Individual will provide financial analysis support for all aspects of the program, participate as a member of and/or support the overall Program and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and will collect, complete, organize and interpret technical data and financial information relating to acquisition and product programs. Familiarity with NAVAIR Organization is a must and candidate should have demonstrated performance working both as an individual and as a member of an integrated team. Specific responsibilities will include: * Perform analytical and evaluative work requiring a comprehensive knowledge of: * Theory and principles * Financial and management organization, operations, and practices * Pertinent statutory or regulatory provisions * Related basic economic, accounting, and legal principles * Develop and analyze impacts of budget marks. Assist with development of appropriate acquisition documentation regarding financial interest items. Experience Requirements: * Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of experience in financial management, program management, technical, or business analysis discipline, related to weapon systems acquisition and life cycle management; and recent work experience related to financial analysis and planning. * Financial management experience should include financial analysis of business programs, development of cost estimates, program status reports, and knowledge of DoD Federal Management Regulations (FMR), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), PPBE process and two years of DoN procurement policies and procedures. * Navy ERP knowledge is required. Educational Requirements: * Associate's Degree. * Allowable Substitutions: A High School Degree and six (6) years of experience may be substituted for an Associate's Degree (AA/AS). Security Requirements: * U.S. Citizenship required. Must currently have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
