D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an Junior Sales Representative-NE in our Sales & Marketing department. The right candidate is in training to manage the entire sales process and communicating withthe customer from the first interaction through the close of escrow.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Greet and qualify visitors

  • Demonstrate models/homes/home sites

  • Overcome sales objections; close for the sale

  • Document the transaction

  • Track progress of loan, options and construction

  • Respond to customer requests for information

  • Document any cancellations

  • Maintenance of all lot files/sales files

  • Monitor models and sales office for appropriate disclosures, supplies, repairs, etc.

  • Develops and maintains good rapport with prospective customers, realtors and team members

  • Execute policies to ensure compliance with quality standards

  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company

  • Ability to work overtime

Education and/or Experience

  • Vacation Benefits
  • < 3 years of employment are eligible for 10 days (80 hours), at a rate of 6.67 hours per full calendar month worked.
  • 3-11 years of employment are eligible for 15 days (120 hours), at a rate of 10.00 hours per full calendar month worked.

  • 11 years of employment are eligible for 20 days (160 hours), at a rate of 13.34 hours per full calendar month worked.


Employees may carry over 104 hours into the following calendar year.

Vacation that has been accrued and unused is eligible to be paid out upon separation.

Sick Benefits

  • Employee will accrue 5.78 hours of sick pay for every full month worked after completing 30 days of service. Sick pay is awarded on the 15th of each month.
  • < 5 years of employment may accrue up to 240 hours
  • 5 - 10 years of employment may accrue up to 480 hours

  • 10 years of employment may accrue up to 720 hours


Sick time will not be paid out upon separation.

"Personal" Holidays

During their first calendar year of employment, newly hired employees will be eligible for the "personal" holidays based on the schedule below:

  • Hired from January 1st through June 30th : 2 personal holidays

  • Hired from July 1st through September 30th : 1 personal holiday

  • Hired from October 1st through December 31st: no personal holidays

The first of the calendar year, following one year of continuous employment, each employee will be eligible for four (4) personal holidays.

Personal Holidays may be paid out upon separation.

Paid Parental Leave

Eligible employees are also eligible for Paid Parental Leave.

  • Primary Caregiver: The Company will provide 6 weeks of paid parental leave for the primary caregiver. The primary caregiver is defined as the person who has the primary responsibility THIS IS NOT A CONTRACT OF EMPLOYMENT Page 56 Employee Policy Guidelines 2022 Edition for the care of the child (feeding, hygiene care, etc.) that has been added to the family through birth or adoption.

  • Secondary Caregiver: The Company will provide 2 weeks paid parental leave for a secondary caregiver when the employee's spouse or partner gives birth or adopts a child. The secondary caregiver is defined as the person who has parental responsibility for the child but is not the primary caregiver.

  • Must have a vehicle, valid driver's license and be able to drive in daytime or nighttime

  • Ability to utilize DRH Sales applications on a smart phone, tablet or laptop

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH Sales applications

  • Proficiency with MS Office and email

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior CRM software experience

  • Previous sales experience, knowledge of industry preferred

  • Excel in intercommunications and interactions

  • Strongly motivated
