Having an interest in Software Development is a must as you will work with Developers, Product Managers, and UX closely. As an Associate QA Engineer you play a critical role in technical implementation, customer usage models, and the development of test plans and test suites that approximate real-world environments and regression tests.
SmartBear's AlertSite product is used by 1,000s of companies worldwide (JetBlue, StubHub, Hilton to name a few) and provides a unified platform for proactive monitoring and alerting for API, mobile, transactional, and web app technologies.
Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated tests - functional, regression, load and stability testing
Work with product managers and engineers to understand business requirements and perform appropriate testing.
Map test cases to requirements to ensure complete test coverage.
Report software defects and manage to lifecycle closure.
Report test progress and quality status to project stakeholders.
0-2 years of hands-on software testing and quality assurance experience.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other related technical fields.
Legally authorized to work in the United States (minimum of H1B).
Experience with Java, Python, Selenium, Docker, virtual machines, and/or agile development preferred.
Experience building and extending test frameworks and test scripts.
Exposure to web applications, API, and/or release management testing.
