LOCATION: Work is 100% on-site, primarily at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) facility in Germantown, Maryland.
Global Engineering and Technology (GET) is seeking a Junior Nuclear Engineer or Physical Scientist (e.g., degree in physics, chemistry, etc.) to serve as a Technical Guidance Analyst in the DOE's Office of Classification. Join GET in providing the United States Government with national defense-related support of the highest standard. Duties:
- Under the direction of a Senior Technical Guidance Analyst (STGA), the Technical Guidance Analyst will be trained to assist with the preparation of classification guidance and classification/declassification policy documents in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, DOE orders, and DOE procedures for RD, FRD, NSI, and UCNI
- The Technical Guidance Analyst also be trained to analyze highly technical information to determine whether the material is classified or unclassified but sensitive
Compensation:
- This position has a compensation range of $105,000 to $135,000 per year, depending on qualifications.
Requirements
Security Clearance:
- This position requires an active Top Secret security clearance or DOE Q security clearance; additionally, the applicant must have the ability to qualify for, and maintain, an SCI clearance as a condition of continued employment
Skills and Experience:
- Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience supporting an NNSA facility to qualify for this position
- Candidates with knowledge or familiarity with DOE Derivative Classification are highly regarded
- This position requires the ability to write concise technical subject matter guidance
- Must be able to read and understand written English at or above academic grade 15

Education:
- This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in nuclear engineering, a physical science discipline, or a related engineering discipline
