About the role:

GoHealth is seeking a Junior IT Support Specialist to join our team! As a Junior IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining hardware and software systems, providing technical assistance to end users and ensuring smooth operations. This is a fully onsite position in our Merchandise Mart location in Chicago. We are looking for candidates with 1-2 years in an IT Support role.

What you'll do:

  • Installation and Maintenance: Performing workstation installations and system maintenance

  • Technical Support: Providing assistance to end users with hardware, software, and network-related issues

  • Proactive Maintenance: Fine-tuning our environment to prevent technical problems before they arise

  • Rapid Issue Resolution: Responding promptly to technical issues that impact business operations

  • User Engagement: Collaborating with employees to understand their technical needs

  • Troubleshooting: Addressing connectivity issues and supporting office/email applications

  • Network-Wide Support: Handling desktop-level issues and contributing to network-wide solutions

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, communication, problem solving and analytical skills while working through the resolution of service desk tickets in a timely manner

  • Dexterity with the ability to lift at least 25lbs, move and manipulate computers and servers, climb under desks to pull network and power cables, and other associated physical activities on an as needed basis

  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time as required

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in information technology or related field and/or applicable equivalent work experience

  • CompTIA A+ certification a plus

  • Working knowledge of Windows 10/11, MacOS, and M365

  • Experience with Intune, Autopilot and disk imaging technology a plus

  • Familiarity with Azure, Entra ID, Active Directory and MS Exchange Online

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN and basic VoIP concepts

  • Experience working in Jira Service Management or another applicable ticketing system
