Job Description:

The DHS/ICE Visa Security Program (VSP) is part of the of International Operations Division of the ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) directorate which plays a critical role in advancing the ICE mission.

The VSP conducts targeted, in-depth vetting of individual visa applications and applicants prior to issuance to detect, identify, and deter those who would threaten the integrity of the US visa system. The VSP's Mantis Team specializes in vetting applicants flagged for a Security Advisory Opinion regarding concerns over counter-proliferation and the transfer of sensitive technology. Recommendations to refuse or revoke individual visa applications are made when warranted.

We are seeking Intelligence Analyst Associates to join our team in Sterling, VA in support of the VSP missions.


As an Intelligence Analyst Associate within the VSP, you will:

  • Conduct daily visa applicant screening and vetting utilizing various databases, in order to support ICE Special Agents in making those recommendations.

  • Perform data collection from multiple sources, to include the web, law enforcement sensitive client databases, and other resources.

  • Gathers data for more senior team members, conducts database, internet, and document research, manages team databases and knowledge repositories, drafts process flow diagrams, contributes to project reports, training materials, and other deliverables.

  • Provide analytical support, communications guidance, facilitation services, technical services, and functional expertise to support ongoing VSP activities. Support includes a variety of functions related to staff activities, the deployment to new VSP locations, and the expansion of the program.

  • Utilize various databases including but not limited to, DHS databases, Department of State databases, DOD systems, and commercially available databases. The process involves an initial screening of visa applications through CCD, UPAX, ATS-P, and VSPTS. Any matches will then be further vetted using other databases.

Must be a US Citizen and have an active Top Secret w/SCI eligibility.


Training Schedule: M-F from 7am to 3pm during the first few weeks

Minimum Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree to include one (1) year of experience in any research, intelligence, or threat analysis

Or an associate degree and three (3) years' experience in intelligence and threat analysis in lieu of a bachelor's degree

Or a High School diploma with five (5) years' experience in intelligence and threat analysis in lieu of a bachelor's degree and associate's degree.

The Logistics Specialist utilize skills and experience to perform project tasks. Ensure security requirements associated with the government are met. Coordinates and works with internal and external organizations for solutions. Employs risk management practices in supporting security goals and objectives. Essential Functions: * Access to unclassified, secret classified, and top secret SCI classified systems and information required for the performance of duties. * Access to Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) space as required for the performance of duties. * Manage inventory control, perform transactions and to reflect accurate recordkeeping of Government assets. * Develop and utilize proper established procedures for handling and issuing material to office staff. * Assist with loading dock management and control, scheduling site deliveries, ensure that outgoing and incoming shipments are tracked throughout the delivery process, and that proper communication occurs with the TSC's Budget Team to ensure deliveries are accounted for and vendors are paid in a timely manner. * Track and order building consumables to ensure there are adequate office supplies. * Conduct inventory reporting, provide reports and perform audits to ensure compliance with established inventory tracking goals and deadlines. * Address facilities - related tickets as they enter the queue, ensure that ticketing queue is maintained and that tickets are resolved in a timely manner. * Ensure tickets requiring procurement actions follow the standard approval process and that approval is received prior to ordering requested items. * When necessary, follow - up on user requests to ensure that the issue or request was resolved satisfactorily. * Document project and / or assignment daily status in the work tracking database. Required Qualifications: * College degree preferred; however, two (2) years of experience will be required for each year of college that are not completed in lieu of not having a degree. * A minimum of two (2) years of related USG security office experience * TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly * Proficient in utilizing routine computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Visio, PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer). * Detail oriented. * A good understanding of functional analysis standards. * The ability to work with senior - level USG managers, technical staff members, and O&M workforce. * The ability to work in a collaborative environment. * The ability to build consensus regarding decisions. * The familiarity with queuing and internal document handling procedures, as well as basic knowledge of QA controls. * Familiar with asset management and inventory control systems. * Able to lift fifty (50) pounds. * Proficient with materials handling equipment. #DZFED SOC Support Services Vienna VA
