What we're looking for

As a Junior Growth Analyst you will be exposed to several different areas of specialty within our Growth Department. We are looking for quick learners who enjoy solving problems independently, often without a clear answer, a curiosity to always learn, adaptability in an ever-changing environment, desire to innovate, and general excitement for everything data, SQL, and business solutions.

What you'll do

  • Provide clean targeted data files to improve our lead generation process

  • Measure the success of our lead gen process and other marketing efforts with AB testing, one-time reports and dashboards

  • Create one-time reports and dashboards to uncover patterns and trends in vacation rental markets, and report on the activity and success in our sales pipelines

  • Identify, define and report on progress towards Growth Department KPI's

  • Present findings in regular meetings with management, assessing and addressing issues to identify and implement improvements toward efficient operations

Skills you'll need

  • Good understanding of database structure

  • Able to write, read, and pull data using beginner to intermediate SQL

  • Able to communicate technical asks to non-technical people

  • Empathy, patience, and a friendly demeanor no matter the circumstances

  • Proficiency with Google Docs, Sheets, PowerPoint, Excel

  • Degree in a quantitative program such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance or equivalent work experience

  • An analytical mind and curiosity with a passion for learning and self-development

  • Highly adaptable

Bonus points

  • Some experience with Python

  • Experience with business intelligence tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.)

  • Experience performing analytical work, either in school or at work

Your Opportunity We are seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer, who will be responsible for working primarily with a multi-discipline group of engineers and technicians in the Water Power & Dams (WPD) Engineering Group in Portland, OR, Denver, CO, or Austin, TX. The successful applicant will be responsible for completion and leadership of assigned projects, designs, and studies and will exhibit high technical competence in a primary production role. Assigned projects will include electrical system studies and/or protective relay settings for utility, renewable, and industrial/commercial clients. Systems to be analyzed will includes conventional and renewable generation facilities, substations, and transmission and distribution systems. Technical disciplines include the following areas: Power System Planning Studies: * Steady-state real and reactive power flow (outage contingencies, transmission adequacy studies, reactive compensation calculations) * Generation interconnect feasibility * P-V and Q-V analysis for voltage stability margins * Dynamic stability performance * Grounding studies * Short circuit and Arc-Flash Hazard Analysis * Cable ampacity/sizing studies * System loss studies * EMF studies Applicable Software: PSS/E, SKM, ASPEN OneLiner, ETAP, CYMCAP, CYME, CYMDIST, PowerWorld, CDEGS, PowerGEM TARA, Python Scripting, transient analysis software Protective Relaying: * Short circuit and symmetrical component analysis * Protection scheme and criteria development * Relay settings * Integration with SCADA systems Applicable Software: AcSELerator Quickset, AcSELerator Architect, AcSELerator RTAC, GE Enervista, Wonderware Power System Design: * Collector system design * Protection and control schematics * Wiring Diagrams * Transmission and distribution design drawings/schematics * GIS Maps Applicable Software: ArcMap Your Capabilities and Credentials This is a junior level consulting engineering position. Preference is given to applicants with any of the following: specific training and/or power system courses covering topics such as protective relaying, symmetrical components, transmission line theory, power system transients, dynamic stability, and power system analysis. Professional registration is not required however strong preference is given to applicants who are registered professional engineers. Preference is given to applicants with significant knowledge and experience in more than one of the three technical disciplines/software packages listed.
