Main purpose of the position:

A talented Junior Front End Developer will work in a team environment in the design and execution of web and mobile products. A good fit would be a junior developer who will be involved with the entire lifecycle of our products, from providing strategy to architectural implementation and can execute quickly while still following best practices.

Position responsibilities and daily tasks:

Excellent team member with good communication skills and an ability to work effectively on multiple projects under deadlines.

Collaborate with the design and backend teams, help support decisions and implementation.

Develop scalable, clean, and semantic code from mockups.

Proficient understanding responsiveness, breakpoints vs. fluidity, and all the issues that may arise when making designs work across devices.

Utilize online resources to get over any development hurdles encountered.

Maintain an awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly in regard to accessibility, usability, and emerging technologies.

What does a candidate need to demonstrate to perform this job successfully:

Excellent HTML5, CSS3, LESS/SASS experience.

Coding valid XHTML and CSS mark-up.

Ability to implement reusable code.

Basic knowledge of Front End Frameworks.

Comfortable with maintaining documentation.

A strong appreciation for the importance of usability in web applications.

Familiarity with testing and developing across multiple devices/platforms and browsers.

Able to perform job requirements effectively in remote/hybrid work settings.

Minimum candidate qualifications (years of experience, education level, technical skills, software, etc):

While not required, if work experience and coding samples are of the highest quality, a Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field is preferred

HTML5

CSS3/SCSS

At least 1 year as a Front End Developer or related work experience

Preferred qualifications (years of experience, education level, technical skills, software, etc):

Design sensibilities

Familiarity with at least 1 CMS

Experience with source code control systems (Subversion, GIT)

Experience with Agile software development

Experience in eCommerce website development

Experience with Terminal

Basic understanding of accessibility issues and how they relate to development. Experience with screen readers and assistive technologies (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)

Main purpose of the Junior Buyer role: This is a full time role for a candidate who will buy and manage a subset of brands in the Women's RTW and/or accessories and/or shoe space. Major Responsibilities: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Purchase and manage a variety of products and brands for REVOLVE.com * Oversee order placement and tracking to ensure timely receipt of merchandise. * Knowledgeable in Women's contemporary brands, as well as current trends in RTW, Shoes and Accessories. * Identify opportunities and risks in-season through analyzing sales performance. * Able to calculate gross margin, turnover and OTB. * Able to source new products and vendors. * Work on special projects as assigned. * Work closely with the planning team to execute strategic buys. * Review sales results to strategize mark-downs and manage aged inventory through strategic liquidation. * Guide and support Buying Assistant and Buying Admin. * Must be able to work flexible hours. * Some travel required. Required Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: * Ability to balance multiple brands and initiatives. * Ability to effectively negotiate with vendors on RA's, sell through guarantees and trade discounts. * Ability to demonstrate critical thinking. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Strong analytical skills, good judgement, creativity and organization. * Able to develop strong, synergistic relationships with a range of teams and personnel. * Strong understanding and interest of industry trends. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Fashion or Business preferred. * 1-3 years of Women's Buying experience, preferably within the contemporary space. * Work experience as an Assistant or Associate Buyer is required. * Strong knowledge of and the ability to apply retail math concepts, including markup, margin planning, open to buy, and inventory productivity measures. * Proficient in Email (preferably Gmail), Microsoft Office. Preferred Qualifications: * Buyer in the contemporary space. A successful candidate works well in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision. Main purpose of the position: The Junior Buying Analyst role sets the core foundation surrounding processes, reporting tools, and the understanding of KPIs within the planning sector of the fashion industry.
