We are looking to fulfill our need for a Junior Estimator at our Teterboro, NJ facility. This role will be responsible for providing profitable and competitive bids by calculating and estimating the expected cost of a potential project. The Junior Estimator must possess exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills while being results-driven with a keen attention to detail.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities (additional duties may be assigned):

  • Able to prepare cost estimates by analyzing project drawings and specifications.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the capabilities for aluminum, plastics, gaskets, glazing and other materials associated with the business.
  • Determine key variables for project cost.
  • Responsible for researching to obtain material and labor costs, production times, etc.
  • Create and submit bids to management for potential projects.
  • Perform risk analysis.
  • Ensure timely completion of all estimates.
  • Maintain all estimation files, records, studies, etc.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate/Bachelors Degree preferred
  • 0-3 years experience as a Junior Estimator or similar position
  • Must have strong mathematical skills
  • Knowledgeable in basic measurement methods
  • Able to understand and interpret architectural drawings
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD 2D & 3D a plus
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Ability to plan and prioritize activities
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal, displaying strong written and oral communications
  • Computer literate and working knowledge of MS Office
  • Extremely proficient in Excel
