A financial service company is looking to add multiple engineers to its new DevOps team. This person will be working on a team of developers to pilot ways to make the development life-cycle quicker and more efficient, which includes automating as much as possible, especially in regard to application deployments. The positions are all hands-on engineering roles, but all will also encompass managerial responsibilities: contributing to the vision and strategy around DevOps in the organization, quantitatively evaluating the cost and benefits of projects, keeping an enterprise perspective during day-to-day work.
This person will be bringing some of the most advanced technology to the company and working in a place that puts a strong emphasis on technology. This group is comprised of some of the best and brightest engineers in the organization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on DevOps experience, including leadership responsibilities. He/she will be self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity. This is a fun, energetic, start-up-like environment, so this person should be team-oriented and work well collaborating with others.
