Seeking a Junior Communications Analyst to support the NCCIC mission in Arlington, VA.

Must be a U.S. citizen. Must have an active Secret Clearance and be able to obtain DHS Suitability.

Overview:

This position will provide general analytical, policy, and program management support to the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC) Communications Branch and will serve on a small team of analysts.

Organization Background:

DHS's NCCIC is a 24x7 cyber situational awareness, incident response, and management center that is a national nexus of cyber and communications integration for the Federal Government, intelligence community, and law enforcement. The NCCIC shares information among public and private sector partners to build awareness of vulnerabilities, incidents, and mitigations.

Required qualifications:

Candidate must: have experience working in cross functional teams; display interpersonal skills, strong customer service, and relationship building skill; have strong writing and communications skills applicable to a variety of products; have experience working in cross functional teams; the ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment; and have experience with MS Office products Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe.

BA or equivalent + 2 years experience

Preferred qualifications:

A solid understanding of cyber security fundamentals and a basic understanding industrial control systems;

Experience in event planning or event management;

Experience with SharePoint

Masters degree degreed

The position comes with the following responsibilities:

Provide analyst support to NCCIC Communications

Manage NCCIC participation in events including: coordination within the organization and with stakeholders; knowledge management; logistics; communications with stakeholders

Brief leadership on upcoming issues and engagements

Support the Industrial Control System Joint Working Group (ICSJWG), including informational products, outreach and awareness, biannual meeting planning facilitation, strategic guidance and product design, and metrics/analysis.

Manage organizational objectives and support organizational planning efforts;
