We work in a collaborative environment and although our team is geographically separated in the US and Canada, we work very closely together in a shared code environment. Although we communicate continuously, you should be able to work independently without supervision to meet deadlines.


The Junior Agile Business Analyst acts as a liaison between business, technical and editorial groups, gathering and documenting business requirements, developing high level application designs, and partnering with teams on specifications.

  • BA/BS degree
  • 1+ years experience working in agile software development
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with site architecture, SEO and front end applications.
  • Work with product owner to implement product vision as elicited from business stakeholders.
  • Participate in development efforts from ideation to production delivery using an agile methodology.
  • Support product owner by helping them analyze the business domain, stocking the product backlog, and grooming the product backlog.
  • Support editorial team content strategy with data and analysis.
  • Support development team in resolving requirements and specifications issues as needed.
  • User Acceptance Testing
  • Strong technical knowledge of back-end application and system technologies, including database, middle-tier and user interface layers
  • Ability to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
  • Experience working with continuous delivery and continuous integration, with frequent deployments to production.
  • Effectively work with remote teams

As a member of the Team, the Junior Business Analyst will support project managers throughout the project lifecycle. The Junior Business Analyst will play an integral part of the project life cycles. Under the direction of Project Managers, the Junior Business Analyst will aide in: * Business Requirements * Workflows * Gap Analysis * Test Scripts/Plans * Functionality Matrices * User Guides/Policies and Procedures * Preparation agenda and minutes for standing meetings * Project meeting scheduling * Preparation of project progress reports * Assist with project testing o Track testing results through QC and UAT phases * Assuring issues are addressed in a timely manner This is a multi-faceted role where you, as the Junior Business Analyst, will be reporting to multiple stakeholders throughout a project lifecycle. You will need to be flexible and be able to switch "hats " seamlessly is a key for success Qualifications: * Experience working in the financial services industry, * Ability to recognize and summarize major patterns, identify edge cases, and suggest recommendations to the business in order to enable decision making, * Analytical and problem solving skills with ability to grasp complexities and relationship between issues, * Ability to communicate effectively with business units to establish an understanding of business needs, and translate requirements to technical staff to support development activities, * Ability to investigate internal client needs to provide input into the design of system functional enhancements, * Skill in understanding and focusing on the business unit needs, establishing credibility and building relationships with business units, * Knowledge and understanding of business analysis best practices, techniques and tools, * Ability to demonstrate interpersonal skills and manage conflict, * Ability to operate with a global team and manage multiple priorities.
