Junior Accountant/Office Assistant

POSITION OVERVIEW

Farpointe Data/dormakaba is seeking a Junior Accountant/Office Assistant based in its San Jose, CA office. The Junior Accountant/Office Assistant is responsible for both administrative and accounting duties.

HOURLY HIRING RANGE: $20/hr - $25/hr (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Administrative Duties

• Forward information by receiving and distributing communications; collect and mail correspondence

• Maintain office supplies by checking stock to determine inventory levels

• Maintain office equipment; calling for repairs

• Organize sales orders/invoices

Accounting Duties

• Accounts receivable collections; customer outreach

• Process payments received (remote check deposits/posting in QuickBooks)

• Match inventory invoices with receiving records

• Manage accounts payable; enter vendor invoices and process payments

• Organize of expenses including matching receipts with credit card statements

• Maintain historical records by filing documents

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• HS diploma

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word

WHAT WE PREFER

• 0-5 years accounting/bookkeeping experience

• QuickBooks experience
