Junior Accountant

Hourly Rate: $27.00/hour

Stanford Hotels Corporation is looking for a Junior Accountant to join their Corporate Accounting Team! This position will be located at the Corporate Office in San Francisco, CA.

The Junior Accountant will report to VP Finance and perform a variety of routine Accounts Payable, and administrative responsibilities.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Review invoices for proper approval, code and input into the Accounts Payable system

• Ensure timely payment of all invoices in accordance with vendor terms and agreed payment batch schedule

• Prepare bank reconciliations for selected entities

• Assist with other month-end activities, including booking journal entries, preparing reconciliations, and generating reports

• Various administrative tasks - e.g. filing hard/soft copy invoices and other documents

• Assist the Accounting Team with other ad-hoc projects as needed

WHAT WE NEED:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook)

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and take ownership of work product

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
