As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for providing overall accounting support as well as assisting the Controller in following proper processes and procedure guidelines. You will be responsible for performing accounting needs including daily tasks, accounting support, and reconciling accounts. This position requires patience and steadiness, along with a team-work mentality.
Junior Accountant Responsibilities:
Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
Support Divisions with their accounting issues by problem solving.
Vouch and Pay Vendors.
Submit wires weekly.
Maintain Supplier Records.
Coordinate AP workflow-with Onbase-point of contact.
Assist with budgeting by gathering necessary accounting information, such as historical data.
Assist with yearly audit/and year end processes.
Monthly Expense Analysis reporting to WFP.
Answer helpdesk questions related to accounting.
As appropriate, coordinates with IT and software vendor to maintain accounting software system; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
Open and distribute mail.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
2 years accounting experience.
Associate in accounting/and or Bookkeeping training
Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Proficiency with prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines.
Willing to jump in and roll up your sleeves to help when necessary.
Interest in technical and analytical focused work within established systems, standards, and procedures.
Focus is on consistent, accurate, high-quality work output.
Follow established guidelines, structure and policies, while working with and for others.
Able to handle multiple projects occurring simultaneously with a sense of urgency for goal achievement.
