JC Resorts has an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, organized and efficient Junior Accountant with strong communication and multi-tasking skills. Based at our Corporate Cffices in La Jolla, CA, this role is responsible for performing all accounting functions for any assigned entities in order to provide timely and accurate financial information to management and to process and pay vendor invoices.


  • To follow all specified procedures to satisfactorily perform routine Accounts Payable/Receivable tasks, including processing purchase orders; preparing documentation of checks for signature; handling and tracking invoices; maintaining and updating contract files; handling and tracking expense reports and travel advances; preparing weekly check runs; generating outstanding check lists; balancing statements; and maintaining the vendor master.

  • To follow all specifications to complete month-end accounting procedures for assigned properties, including preparing journal entries and generating reports for executive management review.

  • To ensure that accounts receivable bills are processed and collected in a timely manner.

  • To assist, as needed, with the annual budget process for assigned properties.

  • To prepare and provide intercompany allocation support for applicable invoices.

  • To prepare bank deposits and assigned bank reconciliations.


  • AA degree in Accounting, or equivalent experience required. English fluency required.

  • Must have minimum one year experience in basic accounting function.

  • Must know ten key by touch, and be familiar with routine office procedures. Must be computer literate.

  • Must display knowledge of currently accepted business phone etiquette.

  • Hotel experience preferred.
