Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our finance team as a Junior Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting accounts payable functions while assisting with various accounting tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Accounts Payable Processing:
Receive, review, and process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
Verify invoices for appropriate documentation, coding, and approvals.
Prepare and perform weekly check runs or electronic payments.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
2.Expense Reporting and Reimbursement:
Manage employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Process expense reimbursements accurately and promptly.
Assist employees with inquiries related to expense reimbursements and policies.
3.Vendor Management:
Maintain vendor files, including W-9 forms and other relevant documentation.
Communicate effectively with vendors regarding invoice inquiries and payment status.
4.General Accounting Support:
Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Participate in the preparation of financial reports and analysis as needed.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
5.Compliance and Internal Controls:
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as requested.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing best practices.

Work Schedule:
As a continued effort to provide a safe and productive work environment, Community Care Plan is currently following a hybrid work schedule. Staff are able to work from home 3 days a week and will report to the office 2 days a week.

Qualifications
Associate degree/bachelor's degree in accounting, finance
1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting roles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial transactions.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of healthcare industry practices and regulations is a plus.
