Junior Account Manager - Aftermarket

As Junior Account Manager you will work closely with the senior staff of the Chemical Sales Department. Your role will involve communication with our customers, vendors, warehouses, and freight companies to provide excellent customer service experience and support for our chemical customers. Your work will help increase the growth of the Chemical Sales Department.

The role is based in our Mokena, IL office.

What is the role?

• Communicate with customers by phone and email.

• Prepare and submit customer quotes for chemicals and parts.

• Estimate freight costs.

• Coordinate with freight carriers, vendors, and warehouses to verify and follow up on orders placed.

• File claims with freight brokers in regard to damaged & missing shipments.

• Guide current and prospective customers on sending in wastewater samples to be tested in the lab. Check in on the sample's progress in the lab, provide customers with a filtration test report, and discuss results via phone/email.

• Contact customers providing awareness they are approaching reorder dates.

• Using specialized internal data, follow up with customers regarding potential chemical and parts promoting increased sales.

• Matching and processing shipping and billing paperwork.

• Perform receiving functions into an ERP system.

• This is a noncomprehensive list of responsibilities and additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Does this sound like you?

• Education: Associate degree or equivalent. Continuing education is preferred, not required.

• 1-3 yrs. of Account Management or Customer Service oriented Sales experience in a manufacturing or relatable field is helpful.

• Possess strong computer and data entry skills with Microsoft Office Suite experience.

• Be well-organized and detail oriented, focused on accuracy and thoroughness.

• Adept at working efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

• Provide excellent customer service and strong interpersonal skills.

• Ability to communicate professionally and positively on the telephone or by email.

• Demonstrate capability to perform basic mathematical functions.
