Job Description

Refinitiv supplies the world's leading financial services companies with best in class enterprise services. Core to this is Elektron as a Service (EaaS) that provides a suite of managed services from hosted real-time feeds to a fully managed Enterprise Platform.

EaaS encompasses a managed and hosted low-latency solution that delivers the full breadth of real-time content from Elektron, as well as co-location services, consolidated data feeds, direct feeds, publication services, and global connectivity. In the future this will extend to Cloud based services suitable for both real-time and non real-time content. This evolution will integrate the Enterprise Platform, EaaS, and other Elektron Data Platform (EDP) services to create a set of products and capabilities that can be leveraged across the organization.

The role will report to Head of Real-time Distribution (based in London) and act as the Americas product lead for implementing new clients on the EaaS platform and day-to-day product management responsibilities. The successful candidate will be part of a global product team responsible for defining and implementing the future strategy for EaaS.

The role will work closely with Development, Product, Business, Sales and Vendors to establish and implement short term and long term delivery plans for EaaS. The ideal candidate will combine a good understanding of the financial markets and market data integration with strong Product Management skills in a very complex and specialist arena. The applicant should feel comfortable both presenting to senior management externally as well as white-boarding technology architectures to Application Development teams.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Support and drive EaaS proposition in the Americas.

  • Work closely with the regional and global proposition and sales team to identify and execute product enhancements.

  • Optimize the product and service portfolio to achieve commercial and strategic goals of the business.

  • Articulate to internal and external stakeholders on the EaaS strategy and roadmap.

  • Drive innovation and differentiation across new and existing propositions, product lines and/or services to better address current and future client needs.

  • Make strategic trade-offs to provide quality products and services on schedule.

  • Conduct customer and market analysis to identify business opportunities within the Americas.

  • Influence client communications and go-to-market strategies for new product developments and enhancements.

  • Support business teams as required for key client presentations and strategy updates.

  • Ensure communication and cross-group collaboration, including client requirement vetting and feedback gathering on new and existing propositions, products and services.

  • Review current products to ensure that quality and currency are being maintained.

  • Manage regional vendors and associated budget planning and tracking.

  • Participate in ad hoc projects related to new business and product initiatives.

  • Provide feedback and insights to vendors/partners to improve their services and solutions.

  • Provide support in managing the business roll-out whether globally or regionally

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Proven ability to establish broad cross-proposition vision and take ideas from concept through successful release/lifecycle management.

  • Ability to understand and interpret fundamental workings and trends within the target industries.

  • Ability to understand and apply technology to product and proposition needs.

  • Proficiency in product commercialization and marketing.

  • Ability to drive a direct and indirect team, in a matrix environment, to execute strategy.

  • Superior client engagement skills, including proven ability to build and manage senior client relationships.

  • Proven ability to lead and manage a local or virtual team.

  • Proven ability to communicate complex ideas to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience in business planning and budgeting exercises.

  • Experience in managing a diversified portfolio across multiple segments and propositions.

CERTIFICATIONS / EDUCATION

  • University degree required

  • Advanced degree a plus

  • Industry-specific certifications preferable

  • Business-related certification preferable

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 10 years product management experience in financial services.

  • Strong track record of product management on multiple complex projects involving global, cross functional teams.

  • Ability to understand commercial, technological and strategic drivers in order to execute strategy.

  • Prior experience setting and executing on the strategy for a portfolio of products.

  • Comfortable with Microsoft office tools such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience of Refinitiv Enterprise Platform or associated technology platform preferable.
