In this role you will:

  • Collaborate daily with UX Designers, Product Managers and Engineers
  • Design and craft pixel-perfect interfaces with a high attention to detail
  • Create detailed UI specifications
  • Expand upon existing template designs, UI components, and style guidelines
  • Design with an awareness and understanding of browser sizes, device capabilities, and product functionality
  • Work closely with your developers to ensure your designs are built to your specifications


  • BS in Human-Computer Interaction or related field or work experience as a designer
  • Body of design work demonstrating strong design process, and interaction and visual design skills.
  • Experience with design tools like Sketch, Zeplin, Flinto, Principle, Marvel, InVision, etc.
  • Strong grasp of modern app design patterns
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • A great attitude and desire to work in a team environment

AWS is seeking a talented and passionate UX Designer to join the team in our Palo Alto office. As a member of the team you will have a visible impact on Kinesis as you shape the way customers interact with us. You will work collaboratively with engineers, product managers, executives and other designers throughout the strategy, design, and development lifecycle. You will also contribute to the product roadmap, drive future concepts, and deliver improvements for Kinesis. In this role collaboration and product ownership is essential, requiring you to be a great communicator, and successfully present and align with a variety of stakeholders. Additionally, you must be able to work with ambiguity and deliver designs that elevate the AWS customer experience as a whole. Experience with or background in visual design will also be a welcome addition to this environment. RESPONSIBILITIES * Contribute to the design of useful, usable, and desirable products in a team environment * Create user-centered designs by working backwards from the customer, utilizing customer feedback, market analysis, and usability findings * Use business requirements and market research to assist in developing use cases and high-level requirements * Design the UI architecture, interface, and interaction flow of new web and on-device software applications * Design the architecture, interface and interaction flow of services and experiences * Present designs to design and product leadership.
