  • Current Electronic Warfare, Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) within Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems has an immediate opportunity for an early-career Systems Engineer to support EW program needs in Goleta, CA.
    This is an excellent career opportunity for someone with some experience/exposure in Electronic Attack (EA) and/or Electronic Surveillance (ES) systems, and a good systems engineering foundation in design and analysis, performing trade studies, performance analysis, requirements flow down, requirements management, employment concept and scenario document and technical presentations to customers.
    The EW System Design team brings together many technical competencies to develop next generation EW products.
    The candidate will assist in modeling and analysis of one or more of the following concepts: EA/EP interactions, resource management effectiveness, advanced adversary IADS, Airborne tactical datalinks, EW Battle Management, and advanced electronic attack concepts.
    The candidate will work closely with EW capture teams to describe the performance of EW systems operating in realistic CONOPS.
    The candidate will need to be able to work with the customer to understand mission needs and requirements.
    The candidate will have an opportunity to apply problem solving and critical thinking skills for conducting investigations into Operational Flight Programs.
    The candidate will need to be able to have a working knowledge of software languages supporting software investigations.
    The candidate will be responsible for identify candidate solutions to provide resolution of customer performance reports.
    The candidate will have an opportunity to work with senior engineers working within a lab environment allowing for hands on interaction with EW products.
    The candidate will need to be able to operate standard lab equipment for stimulating or capturing RF signals into EW products.
    The candidate will also need to apply skills in data analysis and report generation based upon test plans and procedures for verification of subsystems.

    Required Skills: Minimum 2 years of experience in one or more areas of the system development lifecycle, from system requirements and system design through integration and test utilizing the Integrated Product Development System (IPDS). Experience in applying engineering concepts for problem solving using critical thinking skills MATLAB or similar performance analysis tools.
    Relevant experience with detailed data and test analysis along with report generation.
    Solid verbal and written communication skills require to support technical briefings and customer engagements.
    Must be a U.S.
    Citizen with Active (or active within past 24 months) DoD Secret Clearance.

    Working knowledge of Radio Frequency concepts as applied to technologies such as amplifiers and related microwave modules Electronic Warfare knowledge and experience with understanding of threat systems, mission analysis, and Concept of Operations.
    Works independently, determines & develops approach to solutions.
    Rhapsody and other modeling environments; DOORS and other requirements management applications.
    Experience working with lab test equipment and within a test environment.
    Brawler, AFSIM, ESAMS, Suppressor, and other mission analysis tools.
    Required Education: BS in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM); advanced degree(s) preferred This position requires a U.S.
    person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S.
    persons U.S.
    Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S.
