Jr. Systems Administrator

Overview

Junior Systems Administrators updates hardware and software packages, revises documentation, installs computer and network systems, removes malware and other security threats, monitors computer system backups, and preventing data corruption. You may also provide IT support for non-technical employees and facilitating end-user training on new software applications and other technology.

Responsibilities

• Build, administer, maintain, and support servers

• Use monitoring tools to analyze performance in order to proactively identify possible issues and resolve

• Work on problem and service request tickets

• Respond to alerts in responsible areas in order to resolve issues in a timely fashion

• Other related duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (preferably in IT, computer science or a similar field of study)

• Knowledge of process to document requirements and new processes/procedures

• Ability to analyze technical content and communicate the intent to non-technical audiences

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

• Ability to work extended hours when necessary for business needs

Supervisory Responsibilities

• None

Physical Requirements

• Some lifting (up to 30 lbs.).

• Long hours on computer keyboard

• Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking

• Work to be conducted primarily in an office, however some work may be completed at project sites

Pay- $ 70,000 - $ 85,000 /Annually *Depending on Experience
