Major ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot physical and virtual server infrastructure

  • Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot network based services: File and Print services, Email, Active Directory, DHCP/DNS/WINS

  • Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot district messaging and meeting systems

  • Configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot document imaging solution

  • Configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot windows software deployments

  • Monitor and troubleshoot district door security access system

  • Provide and maintain documentation of backup processes and retention periods

  • Provide support for staff

  • Provide and test backup and disaster recovery processes and procedures

  • Develop and provide training and technical documentation for staff members

  • Work with vendors in the research, development and implementation CMS (ERP) system

  • Prepare and maintain written documentation of CMS (ERP) system

  • Work with department leaders implementing new software and hardware technologies

  • Work with vendors in the process of troubleshooting escalated incidents

  • Work with IT Manager implementing new sever and computer technologies

  • Participate in appropriate in service and workshop programs and attend any required meetings

  • Serve as a role model for staff in demonstrating positive attitude, appropriate attire and an effective work ethic

  • Assist in the continued implementation of the CMS software system

  • Encourage safety, housekeeping, and organizational practices and lead by example

  • Promote and facilitate Magna's Open Door Process without reprisal; effective communication and Fair Treatment

  • Participate in Continual Improvement activities

  • Adhere to customer requirements, Business Operating System, and company policies

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Education

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Minimum 2 years computer experience

  • Approximately (but not limited to) 60+ desktops/notebooks, mobile clients, 100+ users

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012 Active Directory based forest/domains, VMware, MS Exchange, MS SQL Server 2012 based database systems, CMS ERP landscape on IBM AS400, MS Terminal Services, SharePoint, NetApp

  • CAD workstations with network FlexLM licensing for software

  • Zebra label printers, multifunction networked devices for printing, scanning, copying, and faxing

  • Aruba wireless network, HP ProCurve Layer 3 POE switches

  • Avaya IP Office 500 IP phone system voicemail server

JOB DESCRIPTION: Primary Function/Primary Goals/Objectives: Manage the operation of the plant Maintenance Department and personnel focusing on meeting plant production goals and financial goals. Major Responsibilities: * Maintenance of all plant manufacturing equipment and systems * Managing the Maintenance Department Budgets * Administration of the plant PM program and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) * Administration and execution of the plant Calibration Program * Management of the plant Maintenance personnel * Management of the plant Maintenance Engineering personnel, projects and engineering consulting * Responsible for the management of the plant stockroom and spare parts stores * Responsible for operational performance (uptime) of plant manufacturing systems * Responsible for all other jobs and customer requests performed by maintenance personnel * Responsible for compliance to all GMP's housekeeping and sanitation, safety, training and regulatory agency regulations Education: B.S. in Engineering, Industrial Engineering science, preferred, Food Technology, Business or Materials Resource Planning also meet requirements. M.B.A. or M.S. Business desirable but not required. Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Science disciplines provide enhanced technical skills needed to lead the department. Business, Food Technology or Materials Resource Planning provide administrative requirements needed to manage a manufacturing operation; prepares incumbent for possible succession to Manufacturing Manager or Engineering Manager positions. Background: * 4 to 8 years of successful performance as a Maintenance or Manufacturing Supervisor * 4 plus years experience as an Engineer a plus * Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for infant formula and nutritionals Accountability/Scope/Budget: * Direct accountability to the Engineering Manager. Also accountable to all other Managers and Departments as a service provider, with a strong emphasis on accountability to the Manufacturing Department Managers, PQA Manager and ultimately the Plant Manager * This position impacts directly on the end results of Plant, Division and Corporate financial and operational goals which include production to schedule and plant financial goals * Budgetary responsibilities include $6MM in payroll and $6M in direct expense, and $7.7MM in spare parts stores * The Maintenance Manager has responsibility in meeting the department's financial and operational goals and commitments. Decisions, which may have a major impact on profitability, are first reviewed with the Engineering Manager or higher authority as deemed necessary.
