As the Data BSA in this position you will help facilitate discovery interviews, requirements gathering, process analysis, and application design sessions with stakeholders for new or existing systems while developing detailed specifications, workflow diagrams (other required documents), and estimates in accordance with the business requirements.
You will have direct responsibility to manage report requests and integrations including gathering requirements, designing, developing and testing reports. Responsibilities also include data mapping, data validation and data governance including responsibility to maintain, run and test integrations. You will be responsible for investigating and identifying improvements to business and information systems, defining scope/requirements of projects for go-forward consideration, assisting with the prioritization of IT work requests and projects, and for ensuring that all projects and high priority work requests align with business objectives and technology that provide the best business value/return on investment. You will be responsible for maintaining functional and non-functional specifications in a portfolio of systems/applications designed to meet business requirements throughout project and program lifecycle and provide analytical leadership and functional expertise to initiatives, participating and influencing IT solution design in addition to authoring functional/technical specifications.
Coordinating activities across the development lifecycle of reporting and analytical artifacts such as requirements gathering, functional specifications and systems documentation, and ensuring successful delivery while working with internal and external stakeholders
Establishing and building relationship with assigned business/operational stakeholders
Understanding business processes, mapping them to systems capabilities, then recommending technical solutions, applying strong understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements
The ideal candidate will have all the requisite experience to coordinate these responsibilities plus 7 years of combined experience as a Business Systems Analyst/Data Analyst and a minimum of 5 years of leading client discussions. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to lead or participate in multiple projects concurrently and will have ability to develop and articulate written business and/or functional definitions, processes and documents utilizing process analysis/design expertise to design new or re-engineer existing processes to implement new or changed procedures, eliminate duplicate effort, reduce errors and increase efficiency and effectiveness; ensure seamless integration processes. VERY IMPORTANT: you must have experience working with Agile teams.
