We're thrilled to be seeking a talented QA Engineer with passion and drive to join our growing New York tech team. As a junior addition to our studio, you'll spend your days collaborating with developers and designers alike, learning to own quality for your projects, how to be a quality evangelist, how to develop testing plans and strategies, and how to automate tests across the full spectrum of hardware and software platforms.
We believe in a one team approach to projects, which means that you'll regularly get to participate in client workshops, allowing you to collaborate closely with them to realize their digital identities and aid in scoping project work. Success as a QA Engineer at ustwo requires you to be detail-focused and have a driven nature, ensuring that you (and your team) deliver products on time, and on budget.

3+ years of testing experience.
Tested software applications for different platforms, especially mobile and wearable devices.
Ability to clearly define and communicate your ideas and findings.
Some experience with QA principles and techniques.
An active interest in software and user-experience. (It's not just your job. It gets you geeking.)
Confidence in being the sole QA team member for a development team with support from senior staff.
A big appetite for learning new skills... Both in the field of testing, but also product development as a whole.
WE'D LOVE IF YOU HAVE...
An interest (or experience) in test automation.
Experience with writing scripting languages.
Comfort working within an agile development process.
Delivering (along with your team) quality software and user experience on time within projects.
Collaborating and communicating directly with client teams and external stakeholders.
Presenting bugs and quality status of the product you are working on to clients and your team.
Effectively and clearly communicating in both written and spoken English.
Helping to push the QA process forward in the context of the project, but also for the QA team as a whole.
Evangelizing quality within the team (speaking up when something seems a bit icky).
Owning the creation of test plans, testing documents, and research with the aid of senior staff.
Owning the procurement of test devices and their subsequent management.
Understanding the value of giving and receiving feedback to and from everyone on the team and client stakeholders.
