Primary Function:

Provide assistance to origination efforts with a solid knowledge base of mortgage lending and origination. Opportunity to learn the mortgage business with future opportunities to move in multiple career directions.


  • Communicates actively w/ any third parties

  • Processes all loan files pursuant to the NPF pre-closing checklist

  • Prepares loan for Processing Manager sign-off review

  • Prepares loan file for final clear to close with Underwriting

  • Communicates any and all loan changes to Sales

  • Communicates with Sales team in a timely manner

  • Works in conjunction w/ Sales to ensure every loan in their pipeline is moving through the process

  • Maintains daily workflow prioritization

  • Coordinates all closing requests from Sales to the appropriate departments

  • Follows loan through funding process

  • Participates in a structured, hands-on training and development program with advancement opportunities


  • Bachelors Degree is required

  • Proven leadership abilities

  • Strong sense of responsibility for completing work quickly and accurately

  • Ability to handle faster-than-average pace of activities

  • Detail-orientation with efficient focus on work activities

  • Careful decision-making skill with ability to avoid mistakes

  • Excellent oral, written, listening, and organizational skills

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

We have an immediate opening for a Mortgage Sales Associate (Home Mortgage Assistant). This is an entry level sales position responsible for administrative marketing and sales support to Home Mortgage Consultants, Sales Supervisors or Branch Sales Managers. This individual learns selling skills and sales processes, obtains clear directions from Home Mortgage Consultant/Sales Supervisor/Branch Manager in building and/or maintaining relationships with current and prospective clients and customers while providing excellent customer service. Job responsibilities focus in four key areas: risk/compliance, business development, customer experience, and process execution. Individuals in this role will: * Inform prospective and existing customers and clients of WFHM products, programs, rates, policies, underwriting requirements, and loan procedures * Understand real estate appraisals, title reports, and real estate transactions * Receive customer applications and complete follow-up activities with the registration lock-in * Perform miscellaneous duties as needed and required Required Qualifications * 1+ year of sales experience, mortgage industry experience, or a combination of both Desired Qualifications * Basic Microsoft Office skills * Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills * Mortgage industry experience * Bilingual speaking proficiency in Spanish/English * Customer service experience * A BS/BA degree or higher * 6+ months of experience navigating multiple computer systems, applications and utilizing search tools to find information * Knowledge and understanding of business development and marketing Job Expectations * This position requires SAFE registration at the time of employment.
