Job Description:

This is a full-time role with benefits. Sits in Tampa, Philly, Denver or Remote.

The Junior Mortgage Loan Closer is responsible for performing a variety of loan duties to include reviewing loan packages for conformity to investor closing requirements, correcting errors and identifying missing information necessary for a loan closing. The Mortgage Loan Closer will handle residential mortgage loans following the loans approval and through funding, including preparing Initial Closing Disclosures, balancing fees with third-parties, and preparing Closing packages. Additional responsibilities may be required around post-closing auditing as well. The highest quality is expected that is consistent with Client and Radian Services policies and procedures as well as meeting all regulatory requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage daily pipeline of loans preparing for closing, awaiting funding, and the review of post-closing audits. Ensure that all interested parties are kept current as to the status of each closing transaction.

  • Conduct a review all loan files being prepared for closing for completeness and adherence to guidelines.

  • Prepare, balance, and submit complete Initial Closing Disclosures to ensure accurate files for an efficient closing process.

  • Coordinate loan closings with the settlement agent and any other interested party, ensuring a timely conclusion and that the expected settlement date is met.

  • Assist Mortgage Loan Processors and Underwriters with the ordering and follow up for third party services (title, appraisal, flood, MI etc.) and required verification (VOE, VOM, VOR etc.) as expected per client process.

  • Complete disclosures as required.

Job Specifications

Knowledge:

  • The Junior Mortgage Loan Closer must have experience in a financial industry, such as banking, insurance, or real estate.

  • Mortgage experience in the following areas is a plus: Knowledge and understanding of conforming loan programs and agency guidelines, knowledge of regulatory and compliance guidelines.

  • The Junior Loan Closer must know how to prepare and review Closing Disclosures and familiarity with Encompass is a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

  • The successful candidate for this position will be able to work and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment with multiple competing priorities.

  • They must be highly organized with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Detail oriented and technologically savvy with a comfort in learning new computer systems and software will be a must.

  • Great customer service skills; ability to work paperless if required.

Prior Work Experience

  • Technical: 6 months - 1 year

  • Supervisory: None

Education and Credentials

  • Required: HS Diploma/GED
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree, Concentration in Any

Documents and updates workflow materials and other necessary process documentation for the department and distributes pertinent updates and information to the team. Coordinates training on new workflows, applications, and processes as required. Works closely with Quality Manager to execute department strategies and prioritization of team responsibilities and provides feedback from the team on issues and process improvement. This role conduct patient outreach for management and coordination of care for chronic medical conditions and preventative health screenings. Provide education to patients about their medical conditions and directions/interventions as prescribed by their providers. Review medical records and research and outreach across healthcare teams for documentation to provide complete medical record pictures for members. Assist with other quality campaigns as needed.
