NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Jr. COTS Technical Consultant

  • Mainframes to join our team in Green Bay, Wisconsin (US-WI), United States (US).

NTT DATA is seeking a Junior L3 Support Engineer to support multiple applications for a large Payor. The person in this position will provide expert-level troubleshooting, resolve technical issues within strict SLA, address root causes for issue prevention.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance / Support Applications based on specifications / tickets

  • Investigate and identify problems and user requirements

  • Unit test Applications and provide resolution to fix issue

  • Develop system documentation and provide assistance with user documentation

  • Troubleshoot complex client applications, integration and environment issues escalated from Level 1 & Level 2 support

  • Troubleshoot/resolve customer problems of complex nature such as code defects, product configurations (files or data), networking, platform, third party communications, hardware configuration or other issues commonly encountered in systems operation in a networked environment

  • Modify software as necessary including, but not limited to; changing scripts, reviewing application logs and making necessary modifications in database tables and tune peripheral applications to resolve the customer's problem in a production environment.

  • Construction and scheduling of automated processes and creation of custom processing scripts

  • Regularly document and report product/application defects to Development team, and escalate unresolved problems to the appropriate resources

  • Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to.

  • Providing technical guidance and feedback to other team members

  • Responsible for ensuring adherence to all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls


  • 2+ years of Technical Support Engineer experience with mid/large enterprise level software applications

  • Hands on development exposure

  • Good SQL skills

  • Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments

  • Familiarity with Defect Management Systems (JIRA) and Service Management software (e.g. ServiceNow, Support Central)

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Proven aptitude in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while meeting critical SLAs and deadlines

  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues

  • Must be able to work non-standard hours as needed to support on-call team members and perform scheduled maintenance work

  • Work in Shifts


  • DB2, JCL, COBOL, Easytrieve, panvalet, SQL Server 2008 R2, SSIS, Message Broker and MQ on the mf, IDMS,ADSO,.Blaze,.Net, Dynatrace

This is a critical role within Humana's IT organization responsible for the engineering and design, planning, implementation, and establishment of operational and maintenance programs to deliver best-in-class next generation network infrastructure. This person will drive implementation of standards and lifecycle processes.
