Description

The Jr. Category Management Analyst will support the preparation for and participate in presentations to retailers on topics ranging from business reviews, new item presentations, assortment optimization, and set validations. This position will help identify insights and formulate planogram recommendations aligned with our key partnerships and National Accounts' goals, to support growth in the category through the interpretation of market trends and/or store specific data.

Responsibilities:

Serves as the analytical lead for category management plans with customers and partners

Ability to integrate Market Census / Demographic information with category insights

Assist with set validation process in assigned retailers

Prepares account specific quantitative analyses in support of customer initiatives

Ability to influence customers and co-workers in a non-direct reporting relationship

Develop new item presentations, business reviews and/or category reviews, interpreting data to provide actionable recommendations to drive category growth

Provide post promotional scorecard analysis, identifying both successes and areas for opportunity

Answer all ad hoc business questions, complementing the data with actionable insights

Develop tools and processes to more efficiently manage the business, challenging existing processes where needed

Generate and analyze weekly, monthly and annual reporting to track performance

Requirements:

Strong data and technical skills to include scan data, space management software, consumer demographic data, and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)

Proficiency in JDA Space Planning Plus

Experience working with complex data sets

Experience in merchandising standards & utilizing JDA Space Planning software

Consumer Packaged Goods or retail space experience a plus

Experience in working with syndicated data a plus

Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age

Must be able to successfully pass a hair drug screen as well as a background check

As a Front Line Manager, first level supervisor, you will be responsible for assigning, directing, and reviewing the work of subordinate employees.
