Job Description Job Description JP2712 – Software Developer 4 Description: Job Summary:

LANL is undertaking a software delivery transformation initiative utilizing both modern cloud platforms and DevSecOps practices - using a modern tooling. As a core part of initiative, the Platform Team is responsible for providing software delivery as a service to developers across the institution. We are seeking a trailblazing engineer with proven/documented experience in DevOps and/or Platform Engineering.

The primary objective of this position is to help shape the platforms and modernize enterprise software delivery across LANL using zero trust principles. Ideally, the successful candidate will have led or participated in a previous DevOps transformation to the cloud or platform engineering. Requirements: Experience of administering and managing Linux systems at scale, to include:

Expertise with networking design, implementation and operations Proficient knowledge of authentication and authorization technologies Advanced knowledge of various infrastructure methodologies such as security, name services, and so on. Education: Position requires a bachelor’s degree and 12 years related experience. Preferably a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering.

Qualifications: Python or Go Programming Agile & LEAN Principles and Practices Software Development Lifecycle CI/CD & Continuous Delivery Managing Infrastructure at Scale Deep understanding of building and managing infrastructure within Amazon Web Services OWASP Principles and Practices Experience working in a constrained, high security environment such as FedRAMP High, PCI, HIPAA or Sarbanes-Oxley Metrics, Monitoring, and Observability Awareness of Cloud Native Computing Foundation Projects and Principles Experience in Zero Trust Principles GitLab Experience implementing and using Terraform Location: The work location for this position has the potential for remote work. Remote work is defined as working offsite that is greater than 2 hours of the Laboratory location.

Reporting onsite may or may not be periodically necessary. All work locations are at the discretion of management. Clearance: Applicants must have the ability to obtain and maintain DOE clearances, which normally requires US citizenship.
