The Go-to-Market and Commercial Executive Director will work on multiple initiatives critical to the successful design, development, and ongoing execution of a multifaceted Wealth Management digital product experience (Wealth Plan and other initiatives) and report into the Go-to-Market and Commercial function. You will have the opportunity to shape the company's future and lead product teams. You should be highly entrepreneurial in nature with both an affinity for strategy, and a proven record of effective implementation.

As the Executive Director on the Wealth Management Digital Product Strategy team, you will lead small project teams in solving complex problems critical to the company. The position represents an excellent opportunity for candidates to be exposed to and influence the agendas of senior management, develop expertise in a variety of functions and businesses, lead teams to deliver on high priority opportunities for the company, be mentored and coached by experienced and talented managers and provide mentorship to junior team members on problem solving, analytical, communications, and leadership skills, gain exposure to other roles and functions in the company

The group functions as an internal digital product strategy consulting group and works on a workstream basis, addressing topics at the top of senior management agendas and at the forefront of the industry. The workstreams will primarily support Wealth Plan and could focus on collaboration with product, technology, marketing, research, design, finance, legal/risk/compliance, field management, etc. teams and senior leaders

Job Responsibilities

Executive Directors within the US Wealth Management Product & Experience Go-to-Market and Commercial function will lead small project teams across all areas of a given engagement. EDs coach, mentor, and supervise Vice Presidents, Associates and Analysts. Specific areas of responsibility include:

  • Own and drive thinking on 2-4 workstreams at any given time

  • Direct strategic thinking and approach, quickly identifying most critical aspects of problem and most appropriate structure on individual engagements

  • Act as thought leader on the product strategy and execution; maintain keen awareness of industry landscape to a leadership role in generating new, innovative ideas and staying abreast of market trends

  • Deliver a seamless customer and advisor experience; collaborate with, and address gaps across key stakeholders in product, tech, marketing, research, design, finance, legal/risk/compliance, etc., to ensure a unified product vision

  • Take a leadership role in generating new, innovative ideas and staying abreast of market trends

  • Actively invest in building and developing junior team members; support strategic career planning

  • Engage in broader team efforts, including recruiting, staffing / deployment decisions, and performance management

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in experience in management consulting, corporate or Line of Business strategy, private equity / venture capital, digital, or similar roles, including 5+ years of experience leading teams

  • Proven ability to structure and scope complex problems and apply a range of analytical tools to develop solutions

  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and influencing skills - ability to collaborate and build relationships with colleagues at all levels and achieve goals without direct control over resources

  • Proven record of delivering seamless customer experience; ability to collaborate with key stakeholders in product, tech, marketing, research, design, finance, legal/risk/compliance, etc.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently and to work well in cross-functional teams

  • Track record demonstrating high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals, and demonstrating entrepreneurial leadership

  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Openness to an environment of active developmental feedback from peers and managers

  • Financial Services, Financial Institutions Group (FIG), or FinTech experience preferred

  • MBA preferred
