Job Summary

Performs fabrication, assembly, installation and maintenance of plumbing and piping systems, materials and equipment per national and local codes.
Reads and understands project drawings and specifications.
Inspects, safely operate and maintain company vehicles and towing trailers.
Complies with and enforces all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
Travel may be required.

Qualifications

Valid State NE Plumber Journeyman License.
Minimum 4 years' recent plumbing experience.
Ability to read/write/spell/compute basic math.
Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.

They provide design and installation of mechanical systems to its customers and is in need of more skilled plumbers who understand the various types of piping systems and their operation. Their mechanical team is able to take the designs given to them from Architects, Engineers & other trades to map out and build an integrated piping system. This set up includes placing all pipe routing & sizing; fixture placement & styles per plumbing codes; planning, assigning, and directing work or apprentices; coordination with other trades; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities*To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty & responsibility satisfactorily after training is complete.Essential Duties<ul><li>Selects type and size of pipe, and related materials and equipment, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to specifications.</li><li>Inspects work site to determine presence of obstructions and to ascertain that holes cut for pipe will not cause structural weakness.</li><li>Plans installation or repair to avoid obstructions and to avoid interfering with activities of other workers. Cuts, threads, and fabricates pipe.</li><li>Assembles and installs variety of metal and nonmetal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron, steel, and cpvc piping.</li><li>Connects pipes, using threaded, grooved or cemented joints.</li><li>Secures pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers.</li><li>Increases pressure in pipe system and observes connected pressure gauge to test system for leaks.</li><li>Observes fabrication machines on job site to detect malfunctions.</li></ul>Supervisory Responsibilities:<ul><li>Directly supervises 1 to 10 employees on the job site.</li><li>Assigning, and directing work.</li><li>Training apprentices.</li><li>Addressing complaints and resolving problems.</li><li>Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of jobs designated.</li></ul>RequirementsPersonal and/or Team Skills:Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
