Your Purpose in this Role

We are one of the top premier Commercial HVAC and Plumbing Contractors in the state of Arizona. We are looking for growth-motivated and self-starting individuals who value efficiency, reliability, and family.

As a Journeyman Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial, and industrial settings. You will work with various materials and tools to ensure proper functioning of domestic water systems, drain waste and vent, and hydronic systems. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and adherence to safety standards.

Pay

$30 to $35 - Pay Rate Determined in Interview.

There will also be a shift differential of $5 additional on specific jobs that will operate outside of what is considered normal working hours. Weekends, nights, etc.

Your Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist Foreman with plumbing layout.

• Installation of new plumbing systems according to blueprints, codes, and specifications. This includes piping, fixtures, valves, and appliances such as water heaters.

• Diagnose and repair issues in plumbing systems, including leaks, clogs, and malfunctions. Replace or repair defective parts as necessary.

• Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure efficient operation and prevent potential problems. Inspect pipes, fixtures, and other components for signs of wear or damage.

• Identify and troubleshoot complex problems in plumbing systems. Use diagnostic tools and techniques to determine the root cause of issues and develop effective solutions.

• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials and waste disposal.

• Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and other team members. Provide explanations and recommendations regarding plumbing systems and services.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installations, repairs, inspections, and materials used. Prepare reports and documentation as required.

• Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and HVAC technicians, on construction projects or renovation efforts that require coordination of plumbing systems with other building systems.

• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction with plumbing services. Verify & coordinate plumbing code compliance.

• Other duties as assigned. (Special Projects often require tasks to the performed outside of the normal plumbing scope)

Qualifications

• Meet & exceed all qualifications for apprentice plumber level 3.

• 5-year minimum commercial field experience.

• Advanced knowledge of blueprints.

• Basic ability to read & interpret submittal data & Project specifications.

• OSHA 10 Card certification (Need within first 90 days)

• Owns all plumbing & cordless tools required for the job.

• Good communication skills.

• Willingness to obtain OSHA 30

• Willingness to always conduct oneself as a professional.

• Advanced understanding of the IPC.

• Drug Free

• Reliable transportation

• Must be able to safely lift 50lbs.

• Basic understanding of the American Disabilities Act.

• Advanced customer service skills

• Willingness to attend Journeyman class.

• Basic leadership skills

• JOC or Special Projects experience preferred but not required.

• Versatility and willingness to perform duties not always related to plumbing.

• Ability to train, instruct, and oversee apprentice 1 & 2 plumbers.

• Willingness to work some nights and weekends as required on a per project basis (Pay Differential Applies)

• The ability to pass a Government Background Check

• Reliable transportation

• Must be able to lift 50lbs safely.
