Journeyman Plumber

Job Description Job Description Job Summary A Journeyman Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial, and industrial settings. They must be knowledgeable in state and local plumbing codes and possess excellent problem-solving skills. Job Responsibilities Install and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure proper functioning Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues to determine the best course of action Interpret blueprints and building codes to ensure compliance during installation and repairs Collaborate with other professionals (such as electricians and HVAC technicians) on construction and renovation projects Maintain and repair water heaters, gas lines, and irrigation systems Train and supervise apprentices and other plumbing staff as necessary Qualifications Journeyman Plumber License Minimum 5 years of experience in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance Knowledge of state and local plumbing codes Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to interpret blueprints and building codes Strong communication and customer service skills Physical ability to perform plumbing tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces
