Journeyman Electrician - Tulsa, OK

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is a leading custom design-build contractor specializing in industrial refrigeration systems. We handle everything from design, fabrication, and construction to commissioning and service, all in-house. We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our growing construction team. This position offers competitive hourly pay, full benefits, paid travel, mileage reimbursement, and paid lodging with per diem. Journeyman Electricians will work closely with other trades in the installation and setup of industrial refrigeration equipment, focusing on conduit installation, wiring, and troubleshooting during the installation process. This is a fast-paced environment that values safety, quality, and teamwork. Advancement opportunities are available, and travel is required.

Expected Pay: $35+/hr

Experience Required: 5+ Years. Journeyman License required.

Per Diem: $65/night (double occupancy)

Lodging: Fully Paid

Travel: Fully Paid

Key Responsibilities:

• Run conduit, wiring, and install disconnects, switches, push buttons, circuit panels, breakers, suppressors, transformers, and wire terminations

• Install, maintain, test, and repair electrical systems, including medium/high voltage automation systems and motor control circuits

• Perform troubleshooting for wiring layouts and circuit routing as part of the Journeyman Electrician role

• Operate forklifts and scissor lifts as needed

• Read and update mechanical and electrical schematics

• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC sensors

• Troubleshoot electrical issues in refrigeration equipment

• Assist with general construction tasks on the job site

• Safely operate electrical testing equipment

Requirements:

• Experience running and bending rigid conduit (up to 4 inches)

• Knowledge of three-phase motors and 480v AC motor control circuits is required

• PLC installation and troubleshooting experience preferred

• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code

• Strong mechanical skills

• Nationwide travel required (typical schedule: 10-12 days working 10-12 hour shifts)

• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive up to 10 hours, as well as operate industrial lifts

• Ability to work in extreme temperatures (above 100°F or below 10°F) while wearing safety PPE

• Willingness to assist with tasks such as insulation, welding, and painting as needed by the jobsite team

• Pre-employment and regular drug testing required for this safety-sensitive position

• Pre-employment background check required (candidates with a DUI in the last 5 years are ineligible)
