Qualifications:
- Valid Texas State Journeyman Electrician License
- Valid Texas Driver's License
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist in the coordination, scheduling, and supervision of electrical work projects on all school campuses.
- Assist in the inspection and enforcement of all safety procedures including lock-out/tag-out and electrical code rules and regulations.
- Assist in the planning of electrical work projects and design and install electrical upgrades.
- Make periodic check and replacement of lamps and ballasts on assigned areas.
- Repair, replace or install lighting fixtures.
- Check, reset, repair timers and photo electric devices for lighting.
- Lubricate, repair or replace electric motors.
- Assist in repairs of lifts, roll-up doors automatic gates and generators.
- Repair, replace or install wiring, conduit, outlets and switches.
- Perform electrical checks of electrical panels and switch gears.
- Make periodic checks and maintenance of emergency lighting and power systems.
- Assist other personnel as necessary.
- Report to Electrical Coordinator
Work Conditions:
- Work outside and inside; exposed to extreme temperatures, dust, fumes and odors. Exposure to mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards.
- Work around moving objects and vehicles.
- Work from lifts (no fear of heights).
- Maintain emotional control under stress.
- Moderate irregular hours.
- Works with frequent interruptions.
- Preparation of materials may involve the packing, moving and lifting of equipment and supplies.
