We are seeking a Business Operations Analyst Home Equity Lending Journey to assist with operational execution, development and delivery of new capabilities to better meet the needs of U.S. Bank's Mortgage, Auto Loan & Lease, HELOC and other consumer lending products across Mobile and Digital channels. The business operations analyst will be an integral member of a business and technology team to deliver new capabilities across multiple consumer product segments. They will integrate industry learnings, industry projections, and customer needs to create and deliver enhanced experiences that better meet customer needs, reduce cost-to-serve, and deepen relationships with U.S. Bank's customers. The analyst will:

  • Translate a business case into an actionable plan for the Journey Team

  • Drive business analysis and help align it with design and development objectives

  • Prepare groomed user stories to be transitioned to Capability Teams for delivery

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with customers (internal and external), the business line(s) and Agile teams to drive the evolution of the assigned product(s)

  • Maintain and refine product backlog; create user stories and acceptance criteria and prioritize all stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum business value that align with product strategy

  • Act as primary liaison between the business and Agile teams, ensuring the teams understand vision for the products

  • Work closely in a hands-on style with development team, including addressing daily prioritization needs, providing real-time feedback and answering questions on an ongoing basis

  • Work with Product Management to set release dates, determine when sufficient value has been delivered to release to market, understand tradeoffs between schedule, scope and budget and communicate this information to the organization

  • Employ product management practices and tactics including customer research, data and analytics, and market research

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Five to eight years of experience in operations/technology project management activities

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Energetic self-starter with Agile knowledge and experience

  • Thorough knowledge of policies, plans, procedures, products and regulatory requirements for assigned business unit

  • Ability to conduct an analysis of a business need, including scheduling meetings, planning agendas and conferring with business line leaders

  • Advanced understanding of project management and testing methodology and procedures

  • Ability to develop test schedules, review testing plans, track test issues and report on test results

  • Strong analytical and forecasting skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously with limited supervision

  • Ability to work as a team leader

  • Excellent verbal and written presentation and communication skills

  • Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
