This position provides support to the 46 Test Squadron at Patrick AFB, FL. This support includes the following:
Participate in planning, execution, analysis, and reporting on testing of Joint STARS mission system computing, communications, and avionics systems.
Work with the Joint STARS program office and prime contractor teams to plan, conduct, analyze, and report on system level lab, ground, and flight test of Joint STARS system capabilities.
Document the system requirements and work products needed by the developmental and operational test communities to plan, execute and report on system test objectives.
Maintain a working knowledge of the software or class of software being tested, to include experience with the existing software, previous versions, or any associated software tools used in conjunction with the software being tested.
Participate in design reviews, system engineering management team meetings, software working group meetings, test planning meetings, and similar technical reviews.
Provide requirements usable by programs to incorporate in statements of work, system technical requirements documents, Test and Evaluation Master Plans, DT&E and Operational Test & Evaluation (OT&E) Entrance and Exit criteria, and other documents.
Clearly communicating test results to technical and non-technical stakeholders both orally and in writing.
Proficiency in the use and integration of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications.
Must be willing to periodically work extended hours including weekends and holidays when required to meet mission requirements.
Must be willing to travel periodically to test or meeting locations.

One of the following combinations is required: Master's Degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of 10 years of technical experience -OR- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 18 years of technical experience OR- HS Diploma or Equivalent and 22 years of technical experience.
Experience supporting system level test and evaluation.
High level of self-initiative and self-motivation with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Good organization, decision making, and verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in small and large team settings to solve complex problems.
Active SECRET clearance; US Citizenship is required.
Prior Joint STARS experience highly desired.
Experience with military voice and datalink communications systems desired.
Ability to pass FAA 3rd Class flight physical qualifications for flying on Joint STARS aircraft highly desired.
Eligible for a Top Secret clearance Single Scope Background Investigation.
